Early Preschool

2.5 - 3.5 Years Old

Fostering an Environment of Growth,

Independence and Creativity
Autonomy is in full force during the developmental period between toddler and preschooler. “I can do it by myself!” is a phrase that is familiar to parents of older twos and early threes and indicates their growing sense of independence. For the first time, these youngsters see themselves as separate people from mom and dad and this is our chance, as teachers and parents, to foster decision-making and independent thinking. In an encouraging environment that promotes problem solving and many attempts to get it “just right” your emerging preschooler will get his chance to do it all by himself with proper teacher guidance.

A Perfect Balance of Structure and Child-Directed Learning
At The Campus, our educational philosophy centers around relevance. And this is no exception in our Early Preschool program. Older toddlers are ready to make connections between their learning and the world in which they live. Early Preschool provides an opportunity for children to develop routines and structure while still getting the majority of their education through child-directed play. After all, as Jean Piaget says, “Play is a child’s work.”
